WORK / 1957-62
The second period, 1957 – 1961, is that of searching.
Messa has come to Mollet, Catalonia, he has a job which leaves him some free time; he gets to know Mossén Lluís Bonet and searches in books and in art. He starts to become a “painter” more than anything but dividing this with his job of selling motorbikes. His style is clearly cubist and constructional. Working firmly with a spatula he produces several independent works and his series of “bulls” and “female forms”. You can see the power in his movements.
