From 1984 to the present date. Messa is now old. He is tired of doing exhibitions, disappointed by the scanty recognition which the “provincial” artistic world of Valencia has dedicated to his work and to him. He will do two or three more exhibitions before secluding himself in his home in Albaida. He paints with calmness, but continues painting, 80 years old and he continues looking for innovations, changing style, techniques, now with a paintbrush, now returning to “Art-Gandul” or ”apega-sants” but always true to his spontaneity, to his originality.

On May 30th, gently, he will find tranquility and will leave us. But his work and his memory remain here, and only those who loved him, who still do love him, we just do not want to pay him a last homage, but to dedicate a fair recognition of his work and his person and prevent it from being forgotten.
